The latest trial in the 3M Military Earplugs MDL has resulted in a $110 million verdict in favor of two Army veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the largest verdict so far in the MDL and includes $15 million in compensatory damages and $40 million in punitive damages for each plaintiff.
The verdict was handed down on Jan. 27, 2022 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. It is the 11th verdict in the MDL and the 6th in favor of the plaintiffs. Five other trials are scheduled for this year with the next to take place in March.
