The jury in the third bellwether trial in the 3M military earplugs MDL found for the plaintiffs and awarded Lloyd Baker $1.7 million on his failure to warn claims. The jury found 3M 63% liable for his hearing injuries, which will reduce his verdict to around $1.1 million and rejected four of his other claims.
The first bellwether trial in the litigation ended in a verdict for three plaintiffs while the second was a victory for defendant 3M.
